SINGAPORE, 29 September 2026: Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) is pleased to announce the delivery of MV RS Atlantico, marking a significant milestone in its collaboration with leading European logistics and shipping group SUARDIAZ.

The delivery of RS Atlantico represents a new chapter in a relationship that has been built over recent years, underpinned by a shared commitment to decarbonising shipping whilst maintaining quality, innovation and operational excellence in vehicle transportation.

As the first mid-sized 5,500 CEU Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) developed through collaboration between EPS and SUARDIAZ, RS Atlantico has been tailored to meet specific customer requirements while supporting the maritime industry’s transition towards more efficient and sustainable vessel operations. The vessel is an LNG dual-fuel PCTC and the lead vessel in its series. 

Importantly, RS Atlantico is EPS’s first newbuilding which is chartered to SUARDIAZ, reflecting the growing depth of cooperation between the two companies and their shared confidence in the future of the automotive logistics sector. RS Atlantico is also EPS’s first mid-sized PCTC newbuilding from Xiamen shipyard, which is part of the Fujian Chuanzheng Shipbuilding group in China.

For SUARDIAZ, the addition of RS Atlantico reinforces its commitment to providing high-quality and sustainable transport services to automotive customers across its network. The project has been made possible through close collaboration between the teams at EPS, SUARDIAZ, the shipyard and industry partners, who worked collectively to bring the vessel from concept to delivery.
